Chief Minister Pramod Sawant alleged that people from outside Goa attempted to instigate Goan youth and residents during the CJP protest, but said Goans acted wisely and refused to be drawn into the agitation.
Sawant claimed that outsiders had tried to involve Goans in the protest without any valid reason but their efforts did not succeed.
"During the CJP protest, people from outside Goa came and tried to instigate our youth and citizens. However, Goans are sensible and did not fall for such propaganda," the Chief Minister said.
Sawant appealed to the people of Goa to remain vigilant and not fall into similar traps in the future. He stressed that while citizens have every right to raise their concerns democratically, they should reject divisive narratives and uphold the values of responsible citizenship and respectful dialogue.
