The Directorate of Education has issued a show-cause notice to Deepvihar School in Vasco and sought an explanation from the school management following the drowning death of a student.

Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant confirmed that the Education Department has initiated action in connection with the incident and said further action will be taken based on the findings.


Meanwhile, the student's parents have demanded a Crime Branch investigation into the incident. They have also called for the suspension of teachers allegedly responsible, seeking accountability and a thorough probe into the circumstances surrounding the student's death.
