A tense situation unfolded at the Sanguem Police Station when Meshu D’Costa arrived for an inquiry along with his advocate and supporters in connection with the Nondurlem Bridge row.

An argument reportedly broke out between D’Costa and police personnel during the proceedings, with the situation escalating during the confrontation.

D’Costa questioned why those allegedly responsible for substandard work at Nondurlem Bridge had not been booked, while action was taken against him for raising concerns over dangerous potholes and public safety.

He also alleged that he was facing police pressure for highlighting the issue and maintained that he would continue to raise matters concerning public safety and the interests of residents.

The incident has brought renewed attention to the ongoing dispute over the condition and quality of work at Nondurlem Bridge.
