The Deputy Collector has assured that the traditional roads blocked by RVNL will be cleared and reopened before August 15, following mounting demands from local residents.


Goa Forward chief Vijai Sardesai, Congress leader Amit Patkar and residents of Velim met the Deputy Collector and submitted a memorandum seeking the immediate reopening of the traditional roads.


Sardesai warned that if the roads are not reopened by August 15, local residents will take to the streets in protest.
The issue has triggered concern among residents who depend on these traditional routes for daily travel. The delegation urged the administration to ensure that access is restored within the deadline given by the authorities.


The Deputy Collector's assurance has provided temporary relief to residents, but the situation is likely to remain under close watch until the roads are actually reopened.
