The Readjustment of Representation of Scheduled Tribes in Assembly Constituencies of Goa Act, 2025 has come into force from August 6, 2026. The festival was aimed at preserving and promoting Goa’s traditional knowledge of wild vegetables, while passing the culinary heritage associated with them on to future generations.
