CCTV cameras have been installed at key spots and street corners across Ponda, but not a single camera is currently working and because of this, the local police are finding it difficult to monitor the area effectively. To investigate any suspicious activity or crime, officers are forced to rely entirely on footage from private cameras fitted at nearby shops, hotels, and showrooms.

The municipality has promised to replace the faulty setup and install new cameras soon. However, the current lack of working public cameras leaves the town without proper surveillance. Until the new system is up and running, this delay continues to create serious safety concerns for local residents.
