RGP's Disciplinary Committee has issued notices to 10 suspended party members, directing them to appear for a disciplinary hearing on August 2 at Agassaim. Chodankar said both leaders agreed to hold formal discussions soon to strengthen the Congress–GFP alliance, stressing that alliances thrive on discipline, mutual respect and shared purpose. He said their common goal is to present a transparent, accountable and people-centric alternative to the BJP government. • Margao JMFC Court has remanded Naser Masood and Shah Ali Saudagar, both natives of Navelim, to seven days of police custody in connection with the alleged abduction of Sanjeel Kudchadkar. • The North Goa Principal District and Sessions Court has ordered the framing of charges against eight accused, including Zenito Cardozo, in the attempt to murder case of activist Rama Kankonkar. Rejecting their discharge plea, the court observed that a prima facie case of attempt to murder is made out, as the victim sustained grievous injuries. • In Goa, people from outside came and tried to instigate Goan youth and residents to join their protests. However, the youth and parents of Goa were wise and did not fall for this propaganda. In the future, Goans should not fall into such traps. People should fight for their rights, but let us uphold the values of respectful dialogue, responsible citizenship, and constructive participation in democracy: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.
