The Core Committee of Enough is Enough (EiE), under the leadership of retired Justice Ferdino Rebello, held a meeting to decide its future course of action on several issues concerning Goa.

The committee resolved to examine the possibility of initiating fresh legal proceedings against government officers and senior political leaders over alleged misuse of power. The proposed cases will be filed after detailed legal scrutiny, with the committee currently examining matters related to Carapur and casinos.

The meeting also focused on the Goa Protection of Agriculture Act Bill introduced by Opposition MLAs. The committee noted that the Bill was not taken up during the previous Assembly session and has not been listed for discussion in the ongoing session either.

EiE has decided to write to political parties seeking their public support for the Bill and urging them to include its passage as a commitment in their election manifestos.
