The much-awaited Porvorim flyover is all set to be inaugurated by Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari on September 9 at 6 pm, following the completion of its construction.
The inauguration ceremony will be held on the flyover itself, with the route leading towards Panaji. The ambitious project has been completed at an estimated cost of Rs 641 crore.
While the formal inauguration will take place on September 9, motorists will have to wait a little longer before the flyover is opened to regular traffic.
The flyover will be opened to vehicular traffic from 4 pm on September 11.
The opening of the Porvorim flyover is expected to provide major relief to motorists travelling through the busy Porvorim corridor and improve connectivity towards Panaji.
