Goa MLA Govind Gaude has expressed optimism that the long-pending demand for Scheduled Tribe (ST) reservation in the state Assembly will be addressed before the upcoming Assembly elections.
Speaking on the issue, Gaude said the community remains hopeful of securing reservation and urged the government and concerned administrative authorities to expedite the legal process.
Gaude stressed the need for the authorities to fast-track the necessary procedures so that the reservation issue can be resolved within the required timeframe.
The demand for ST reservation in the Goa Legislative Assembly has been a longstanding issue, with community representatives seeking political representation through a reserved constituency.
