The war of words between Goa Forward Party (GFP) chief Vijai Sardesai and Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao intensified on Tuesday, with Sardesai denying that he ever received an invitation to the Opposition MLAs' meeting and challenging Alemao to a forensic examination of their mobile phones.
Addressing the media, Sardesai claimed that no message inviting him to the Opposition meeting was ever sent and alleged that the message being shown by Yuri Alemao was fabricated.
"I never received any message regarding the Opposition meeting. If I am being accused of lying, I am ready to hand over my mobile phone for forensic examination," Sardesai said.
He further challenged the Leader of Opposition to do the same.
"Yuri Alemao should also submit his mobile phone for forensic analysis. That will establish who is telling the truth and who fabricated the message," Sardesai said.
The GFP chief added that the party has taken the issue seriously and said its newly constituted Political Affairs Committee will decide the future course of action.
