Concerns have been raised over the safety of the flyover connecting Khamini and Bonye villages in the Savoi-Verem area following road damage caused by heavy rains.

A rumour had earlier circulated that the road in the area had collapsed. MLA Govind Gaude clarified that the road had developed damage after rainwater accumulated and caused portions of it to sink, following which repair work was undertaken.

However, a ground-level inspection by the Prudent team found a different situation, with erosion and damage visible around the flyover.

The condition has raised concerns over the stability of the structure, with fears that continued erosion and heavy rainfall could pose a risk to the flyover.

Residents have urged the authorities to inspect the site immediately and undertake necessary safety measures to prevent any untoward incident.
