Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has appealed to Goans to opt for traditional clay Ganesh idols instead of Plaster of Paris (POP) idols ahead of the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations.
The Chief Minister urged citizens to support eco-friendly and traditional practices by choosing idols made from clay, which are more in line with Goa’s traditional festivities and environmental concerns.
Sawant also assured traditional artisans that the government would extend support to help them sustain and develop their age-old profession.
