The Goa government is set to file Special Leave Petitions (SLPs) before the Supreme Court challenging the High Court judgments ordering the premature release of three convicts in the 2006 Mandar Surlakar murder case — Rohan Dhungat, Ryan Pinto and Shankar Tiwari.
In its judgments dated August 6, the High Court quashed and set aside the Goa government’s decisions, taken on three occasions, to deny premature release to the three convicts.
