Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant accused opposition parties of indulging in “fake propaganda” as they were unable to digest the social welfare schemes and infrastructure projects being undertaken by the state government.

Addressing a function held to mark the upgradation of the Kadamba Bus Stand in Bicholim, Sawant said the government was implementing welfare initiatives and taking up infrastructure projects across Goa, which, he claimed, had come under criticism from the Opposition.

Sawant appealed to people not to fall prey to what he described as “false propaganda” and “false narratives” being spread by opposition parties, particularly ahead of the elections.

Referring to the Goa Ujjwala Yojana, the Chief Minister assured beneficiaries that their existing benefits under other government schemes would continue without interruption. He said eligible families should remain assured that there would be no disruption to the benefits they are already entitled to.
