The Chief Electoral Commission (CEC) has informed the High Court that the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process was carried out in strict accordance with established guidelines and official rules. Standard procedures were followed during the revision drive, and the Commission confirmed that all supporting documents, proof, and official records pertaining to the case have been formally submitted before the bench for review.

The submission comes in response to a writ petition filed by voter Paresh Salgaonkar and his family members, whose names were purged from the voters' list following the completion of the SIR exercise. Adv. Gaurish Agni, representing the CEC in court, presented the Commission's defense during the ongoing proceedings. Further hearing on the petition will continue on Tuesday, 6th October.
