Heavy police security was deployed at the Sai Baba Temple in Borim amid an ongoing dispute between the Gaonkari and the Sai Baba Seva Mandal Trust over the management of the temple.

Following a High Court order, members of the Sai Baba Temple Trust were allowed to enter the temple under police protection as the committee took possession of the premises.

Despite the heavy security deployment, local villagers gathered at the temple and allegedly attempted to prevent the committee from taking possession.

During the incident, police detained several women who allegedly tried to enter the temple. They were later released.
