The IIM Nagpur team has inspected the newly opened Porvorim flyover as authorities look at immediate measures to address concerns surrounding traffic movement and access to the elevated corridor.
According to PWD officials, the immediate priority is to safely open the entry and exit points of the Porvorim flyover and the Atal Setu for residents of Porvorim.
The officials said certain important steps will be taken within the next 48 hours, while larger remedial measures will be undertaken in a second phase over the next few days.
The inspection by the IIM Nagpur team comes amid concerns over the functioning and safety of the newly inaugurated flyover. The authorities are now examining possible measures to improve access and traffic flow while ensuring that the entry and exit points are opened safely.
PWD officials said the proposed measures will be implemented in phases, with immediate interventions followed by broader remedial steps based on the assessment.
