Fishermen at Betul are facing serious difficulties in venturing into the sea due to worsening conditions at the mouth of the Sal River, prompting demands for immediate government intervention and construction of a retaining wall.

Local fishermen said the condition at the river mouth has made it increasingly difficult for fishing boats to safely enter and exit the sea. They pointed out that while fishing boats from outside the state have already begun operations, local fishermen continue to struggle to resume their activities.

The fishermen have urged the government to urgently address the issue and construct a retaining wall at the Sal River mouth to ensure safe and smooth movement of boats.
