Speaking at a press conference, AAP leader Valmiki Naik alleged that both the Congress and the BJP have joined hands, particularly in facilitating political defections across the state. AAP urged Goa Forward to take a firm stand as part of a non-Congress, non-BJP "Goa First Alliance" rather than playing both sides of the political spectrum.

Responding to it, Goa Forward Party General Secretary Durgadas Kamat stated that the ongoing Pitru Paksha period is currently underway, during which major political announcements are deferred. He assured that GFP President Vijai Sardesai will address the media and the public immediately after Pitru Paksha to deliver a clear statement regarding the grand alliance. Kamat emphasized that the party is currently actively gathering feedback and consulting directly with the people of Goa before finalizing its political roadmap.
