The North Goa Special NDPS Court has rejected the bail application of a 25-year-old Liberian national, Patrick Bah, who was arrested in October 2024 for alleged possession of commercial/intermediate quantities of ecstasy and methamphetamine, citing the accused’s prior criminal antecedents under the NDPS Act, the risk of absconding, and the absence of any substantial change in circumstances since his previous bail rejections.

According to the prosecution, Bah was apprehended during a raid conducted by Anjuna Police on October 24, 2024 in Siolim, Bardez. Police seized 18 suspected ecstasy tablets (weighing 7.68 grams) and 23.98 grams of suspected methamphetamine from his possession. A case was subsequently registered under the NDPS Act.

The current plea marked Bah’s fifth attempt at securing bail. Three earlier applications had been dismissed by the Special Court, while a fourth was withdrawn before the High Court of Bombay at Goa in March 2026.
