ISRO’s EOS-06 (Oceansat-3) has recorded a drop in ocean Chlorophyll-a in June 2026, indicating changes in phytoplankton—the tiny marine organisms at the base of the ocean food chain. The vehicle and liquor, collectively valued at Rs 10.40 lakh, were seized, while two persons were booked under the Karnataka Excise Act. • Mapusa JMFC Court has granted conditional bail to Balaji Chavan, a Karaswada resident, who was arrested for allegedly outraging the modesty of a woman during a Dahi Handi programme at Khorlim. Dengue Cases Decline In South Goa; No Positives Reported In September

81 Of 158 Samples Tested Positive In August; Viral Cold Cases On The Rise

Dengue cases in South Goa have shown a decline, with no positive cases reported so far in September, according to health authorities.

In August, around 158 samples were tested for dengue, of which 81 returned positive. However, as of September 10, nearly 50 samples have been tested and none have tested positive for dengue.

Dr Rajendra Borkar said the decline in dengue cases is a positive development, but viral cold cases are currently witnessing an increase in the region.

He advised people to take necessary precautions, particularly while visiting crowded places, and recommended wearing masks to reduce the risk of infections.
