As the demand for eco-friendly celebrations grows, youngsters from Mandrem have found an innovative way to give Lord Ganesha a sustainable makeover.

Saish Shet Mandrekar and Sanil Parsekar have come together this year to create 11 Ganesh idols entirely from paper, offering an alternative to conventional clay and Plaster of Paris (POP) idols.

Their handmade creations showcase how creativity and devotion can come together while keeping the environment in mind. The duo has chosen paper as their primary material, turning an everyday item into intricate idols for Ganesh Chaturthi.

For the two youngsters, the initiative is not just about making idols but also about encouraging people to consider environmentally friendly alternatives while celebrating the festival.
