Gram Sabhas across several Goan villages, including Pilgao, Surla, and Bastora, saw intense debates as local residents voiced deep concerns over mining transportation, farmland preservation, and employment rights. In Pilgao, villagers strongly protested against the disruption caused by heavy mining traffic and firmly opposed the proposed Sarmanas flyover, arguing it fails to address their core safety and living issues.

In Surla, discussions centered around the protection of the Mhadei River and native agricultural land. Residents accused mining companies and real estate developers of threatening the village's identity and livelihood by failing to provide local employment while attempting to acquire land. Meanwhile, the Bastora Gram Sabha focused on various infrastructural problems affecting everyday community life.
