A devastating flash flood triggered by a sudden glacier outburst in the Bhote Koshi River has caused widespread havoc along the Nepal-China border. The raging floodwaters washed away key bridges and roads, while videos emerging from the region show houses and vehicles being swept away. A total of nine fatalities have been confirmed so far, while rescue teams continue searching for those swept away by the torrents.

The disaster has left 384 foreign nationals missing, including 105 tourists from India. Additionally, around 41 security personnel from the Nepal Police and Armed Police Force have gone missing during the floods. In response to the rising water levels and severe destruction, a high alert has been issued across the affected regions in both India and China.
