Residents of Karapur-Sarvan are preparing to march to the Goa Legislative Assembly toward the end of August to protest against a mega project in their village. The planned march coincides with both the upcoming Assembly session and the 150 day milestone of their ongoing agitation. To draw immediate attention to their demands, a group of Karapur locals gathered at Azad Maidan in Panaji on Tuesday, 12th August, to voice their grievances and demand justice.

The protest centers on growing community frustration over the proposed mega project, which residents argue threatens their local environment, infrastructure, and way of life. Having maintained a peaceful protest for nearly five months, the villagers are escalating their efforts to ensure their voices are heard by state leaders.
