While traditional farming remains the mainstay for many farmers, Hemant Samant of Samant Agro Farm in Nirankal, Ponda, has found a rewarding opportunity in cultivating champa flowers.

Samant has been growing champa on his farm and harvesting around 300 flowers every day. What started as an agricultural venture has turned into a steady source of income, with the flowers finding good demand in the market.
According to Samant, champa cultivation offers good returns and has a promising market in Goa. He believes more people can explore flower farming as an alternative source of livelihood.
Sharing his experience, Samant has encouraged farmers and others interested in agriculture to consider growing champa, saying the crop can be both rewarding and commercially viable.
