Bank employees across Goa are observing a one-day nationwide strike on Friday, September 11, under the banner of the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU).
The employees are protesting the delay in implementing five-day banking and demanding the withdrawal of the Performance Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme.
UFBU has warned of further industrial action if its demands are not addressed. The unions have announced a three-day nationwide strike from September 28 to 30, followed by an indefinite strike from October 26.
The strike could impact banking services across the country, with employees urging authorities to resolve the issues raised by the unions.
