Valpoi Police arrested 25-year-old Mehbub Sab Bagale after allegedly catching him red-handed transporting 1,800 kg of meat worth around Rs 3.4 lakh at BCP Keri, Sattari. Police said the meat was being transported without a bill or authorisation letter from the competent authority. • Dabolim Airport Police have registered an FIR after CISF personnel allegedly found a GPS device in the hand baggage of a passenger, a Himachal Pradesh resident, during security screening. Sood was scheduled to travel from Goa to Delhi and was allegedly carrying the device without valid licence or documents. • All four teachers and two tour operators booked in connection with the Sattari drowning case have been granted bail, as the offences registered against them are bailable. They face charges related to alleged illegal entry into a wildlife area, endangering students’ safety and causing death due to negligence. • The High Court has granted two weeks to Dr. Medha Salkar and the Goa government to file replies in the petition challenging the state government's decision to give Dr. Salkar additional charge as Director of Health Services.
