Goa will have a new football rivalry to look forward to this ISL season, with FC Goa and Churchill Brothers set to face each other for the first time in the Indian Super League.

The historic Goa derby will be played on December 13 at 7:30 PM at Fatorda Stadium, after the 1st phase fixture list for the 2026-27 ISL season was announced.

FC Goa will begin its campaign at home on October 10, hosting Chennaiyin FC at Fatorda at 7:30 PM. Churchill Brothers, meanwhile, will make their ISL debut against Mumbai City FC on October 11 at Fatorda.

The clash between the two Goan sides on December 13 will be one of the standout fixtures of the season, bringing together two clubs with strong football identities in the state.

The 2026-27 ISL season begins on October 10 and returns to a home-and-away format. The 13 participating clubs will play each other twice, giving every team 24 league-stage matches.

The participating teams are Bengaluru FC, Chennaiyin FC, Churchill Brothers, East Bengal FC, FC Goa, Inter Kashi, Kerala Blasters FC, Mohun Bagan Super Giant, Mumbai City FC, NorthEast United FC, Odisha FC, Punjab FC and Sporting Club Delhi.
The league has also placed greater emphasis on weekend fixtures, with 53 of the 78 Phase 1 matches scheduled for Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays. Matches will primarily be played at 5 PM and 7:30 PM IST.

For Goan football fans, however, all eyes will be on December 13, when Churchill Brothers and FC Goa meet at Fatorda for the first-ever ISL Goa Derby.
