RGP MLA Viresh Borkar has accused Drinking Water Department Minister Subhash Phal Dessai of favouring builders over local residents while granting permissions for projects.
Borkar claimed that Goa faces a daily water deficit of 84 million litres per day (MLD) and questioned the government’s priorities amid the ongoing shortage.
Challenging Phal Dessai, Borkar said the minister should visit Dambab Temple and, placing his hand on a coconut, swear that Borkar had never approached him seeking clearance for any project proposal related to water availability.
