The Ponda Municipal Garden is set for a much-needed makeover, with the municipal council preparing a redevelopment plan to give the neglected garden a fresh lease of life.

Ponda Municipal Council Chairperson Virendra Dhavalikar said the plan has been prepared and will be sent to the Directorate of Municipal Administration (DMA) for approval.

The redevelopment is likely to be taken up using funds from GSUDA or through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funding, he said.

The garden has been in a poor state due to years of neglect, with its deteriorating condition raising concerns among residents.

The proposed revamp is expected to improve the garden's overall appearance and provide a better public space for residents of Ponda.
