Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho on Friday said the Goa government has completed an audit of rent-a-cab operations and will soon introduce new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to streamline the sector.
The proposed guidelines aim to curb unauthorised operations and bring greater transparency and structure to the rent-a-cab system across the state.
Meanwhile, Panchayat Minister Mauvin Godinho said the government is considering appointing specialised agencies to conduct panchayat mapping and surveys, citing variations in terrain across Goa.
The government is currently collecting inputs from panchayats before finalising the new survey framework, he added.
