The Goa Chief Minister has announced that the state government is attempting to hike the financial benefits provided under the Griha Aadhar scheme before Diwali. Along with Griha Aadhar, the government is also planning to increase the financial assistance given under the Dayanand Social Security Scheme (DSSYS) and schemes for persons with disabilities.

Speaking at a program marking the fulfillment of promises under the Ujjwala Scheme in Pernem, the Chief Minister urged beneficiaries who have not yet received their pending scheme payments to inform their local MLA's office or the concerned department, assuring that the pending funds will be deposited into their bank accounts within eight days. During the event, the Chief Minister also expressed strong confidence that the Lotus will bloom in both the Mandrem and Pernem constituencies in upcoming elections.
