The Goa Football Association (GFA) will hold elections to its Executive Committee on October 27, 2026, at the Conference Hall of Don Bosco Provincial House, Odxel, with polling and the announcement of results scheduled for the same day at 3 pm.
As per the election schedule issued by the association on October 7, nomination forms will be accepted from October 14 to 16 between 10 am and 5 pm. Forms are available at the GFA Secretariat, located on the fifth floor of Atmaram Commercial Complex near Mahalaxmi Temple in Panaji.
The draft list of nominations will be published on October 16, followed by a window for objections from October 17 to 20. Scrutiny of nominations and disposal of objections will take place on October 21 and 22. The final list of nominated candidates will be released on October 23.
Candidates can withdraw their nominations on October 24, with the final list of contestants scheduled for publication on October 25.
Agnelo A. F. Fernandes, former Commissioner of Labour and Employment, has been appointed Returning Officer for the election.
The GFA has directed eligible affiliated active clubs to communicate the name of their voting representative to the Returning Officer by noon on October 14, along with the resolution approving the appointment. Each club may nominate its president, secretary or an eligible office-bearer as its representative.
The election will be conducted during an Extraordinary General Body Meeting convened to elect the association’s Executive Committee.
