Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) President Girish Chodankar has said that talks between the Congress and the Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) for an alliance have been finalised ahead of the upcoming Goa Assembly elections.

Chodankar said the discussions were driven by public sentiment favouring the coming together of like-minded political parties to provide a stronger alternative to the BJP.
He also confirmed that discussions with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) are still underway, indicating that the Congress remains open to broader coordination among opposition parties.
According to Chodankar, the objective of bringing opposition forces together is to consolidate the anti-BJP vote and address common concerns raised by the people of Goa.
