AAP MLA Venzy Viegas has expressed strong reservations regarding the Congress party's decision-making process, explicitly stating that while he lacks trust in their internal mechanism, an opposition alliance remains essential to defeat the ruling BJP in Goa. Setting clear ground rules for any prospective coalition talks, Viegas emphasized that discussions must strictly exclude the constituencies currently held by sitting opposition MLAs. He warned that if negotiations fail to yield a fair and strategic consensus, AAP has a "Plan B" ready, which will be unveiled at an appropriate time.

Simultaneously, the Benaulim MLA kept the door open for broader opposition unity by hinting at potential alliances with regional outfits, specifically the Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) and Goa Forward Party (GFP). By signalling a willingness to partner with regional players while maintaining a firm stance against Congress's dominant approach, Viegas highlighted AAP's strategy to secure its political foothold while ensuring a unified anti-incumbency front ahead of upcoming electoral battles.
