The Chief Electoral Officer, Election Commission of India, has submitted before the High Court that no decision has yet been taken on the registration application filed by the proposed “Goa Congress Party”. The ECI further stated that any decision on the registration will be taken only after considering the objections raised by the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee. The High Court has adjourned the hearing on the related petition filed by GPCC President Girish Chodankar to 22 September.
