Saloni Utagi has emerged as Goa's topper in the NEET UG 2026 examination, securing an impressive 99.84 percentile. She also achieved an All India Rank (AIR) of 3,033, placing her among the country's top-performing candidates.

Reacting to the paper leak controversy that marred this year's examination, Saloni said students dedicate years of hard work and preparation to crack competitive exams and deserve a fair opportunity to succeed.
She urged the government to strengthen the conduct of national-level examinations and ensure they are held in a transparent, secure and fair manner so that students do not suffer due to irregularities.
"Students invest years of effort preparing for these examinations. Every possible measure should be taken to prevent paper leaks and ensure a fair examination process for everyone," she said.
