ne person was killed and two youths were seriously injured in a head-on collision involving two Bullet motorcycles at Carona-Gawar in Aldona. The deceased has been identified as Subhash Chodankar, aged over 50. He was riding one of the motorcycles and reportedly died on the spot.
Two youths from the Aldona area sustained serious injuries in the collision. They were shifted to the Aldona Primary Health Centre for treatment. Aldona Outpost Police reached the accident site and initiated the necessary procedures.
Meanwhile, locals raised concerns over the emergency response, alleging that an ambulance took nearly an hour to reach the accident spot. Aldona MLA Carlos Alvares Ferreira also expressed concern over the response time, stating that the two injured persons were shifted to Aldona PHC while the deceased remained at the site for over an hour.
Ferreira renewed his demand for improved infrastructure and emergency medical services at the Aldona PHC, stressing the need for a faster response to road accidents in the area.
