Goa Miles, in collaboration with the NGO SCAN Goa, has launched a dedicated initiative providing free transportation for victims of crime particularly women, children, and victims residing in rural areas to facilitate their commute to court hearings. Attending legal proceedings often presents significant logistical and financial hurdles for victims, especially those living in remote parts of the state. By offering free rides through Goa Miles, the initiative aims to remove mobility barriers, reduce travel expenses, and ensure uninterrupted access to justice during ongoing judicial trials.

Speaking at the launch, Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho emphasized that the primary goal of the scheme is to ensure victims face no transportation difficulties throughout the court process. He assured that strict precautions will be taken to keep the identities and personal details of all beneficiaries completely confidential.
