The Goa Legislative Assembly Complex at Porvorim has completed 25 years, marking a silver jubilee milestone dedicated to democratic governance and public welfare. Speaking at the commemorative event, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla emphasized that elected representatives carry the crucial responsibility of working in the assembly while keeping core democratic values at the forefront.

He highlighted the need to leverage modern technology and digital initiatives in the legislative complex to bridge the gap between the government and the public, thereby fostering greater transparency and accessibility.

During the occasion, key state leaders reflected on the assembly's legacy and future direction. Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant highlighted that the government has consistently taken decisions focused on public welfare and state development.

Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao urged caution, asserting that no legislative decisions harmful to Goa's interests should be passed.
