The air was filled with devotion and emotion as thousands of Goan families bid farewell to Lord Ganesha during the five-day visarjan, marking the conclusion of Chavath festivities across the state.
After days of joyous celebrations, families performed their final aartis, offered flowers and prayers before carrying their beautifully decorated idols for immersion.
From vibrant processions in towns and cities to traditional rituals in villages, Goa echoed with chants of “Ganpati Bappa Morya, Pudhchya Varshi Lavkar Ya!” as devotees accompanied Bappa to the immersion sites.
The visarjan marked an emotional end to the festivities, with devotees seeking Lord Ganesha’s blessings for happiness, prosperity and peace, while praying for his return next year.
The celebrations concluded with faith, tradition and a strong sense of community across Goa.
