Goa Police’s Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) has arrested Russian national Konstantin Isaev in Udupi, Karnataka, following a five-year search in connection with a drug-related case registered in Goa.

According to police, Isaev was originally arrested by the ANC Police Station in January 2019 in connection with the case. He was subsequently released on bail but allegedly absconded, following which the Additional Sessions Court at Merces issued a non-bailable warrant against him.

The ANC continued efforts to trace Isaev and eventually located him in Udupi, Karnataka, in September 2026. He was taken into custody following the operation and subsequently brought back to Goa.

Isaev was produced before the Additional Sessions Court, which remanded him to 14 days of judicial custody at Central Jail, Colvale. His judicial custody is scheduled to continue until October 9, 2026.

The arrest brings to an end the police’s prolonged efforts to trace the accused, who had remained absconding since the 2019 case.
