The five accused arrested in connection with the Porvorim shootout case have reportedly told police that they were allegedly offered a ₹1 crore contract to target casino director Shrinivas Nayak.

According to their statements to police, the alleged contract was given by suspected key conspirators Gopal Naik, Satish Shinde and Suraj Acharya.
Police are investigating the alleged role of the three in the case. Gopal Naik, identified as one of the suspected key conspirators, has not yet been arrested.
The statements of the five accused are being examined as part of the ongoing investigation into the shooting incident and the alleged conspiracy behind it.
