Controversial land-grab accused Siddique alias Suleman Khan has again claimed that the cases against him are politically motivated.
His claims were recorded by the Special Land Grab Court while granting him bail in a third land-grab case.
According to Siddique's submissions before the court, he had developed contacts with several MLAs, MPs and ministers over the years, with some being his friends and others allegedly his political opponents.
Siddique further claimed that during demonetisation in 2016, he acted as a middleman in Hyderabad to exchange demonetised ₹500 and ₹1,000 notes belonging to MLAs, ministers and other politicians
.
He also claimed that some people forcibly took money from him at the time, following which local ministers allegedly filed two cases against him.
Siddique alleged that MLAs in Delhi and Pune had also filed false cases against him, maintaining that the legal cases were linked to political rivalries.
