The Goa Crime Branch seized 10.754 kg of suspected ganja, estimated to be worth ₹10.5 lakh, during a narcotics raid at the Interstate Bus Terminal in Mapusa on September 25.

The raid was conducted between 6.19 pm and 9.25 pm by a Crime Branch team led by PI Vikas Deykar, along with other police personnel.

According to police, 24-year-old Gokula Jena, a native of Odisha, was allegedly caught red-handed along with a 17-year-old juvenile, whose identity has been withheld.
The suspected ganja was allegedly concealed in a shoulder bag and hand trolley.

Police further alleged that Jena had used the juvenile for carrying or supplying the suspected narcotic substance.
The seized material was attached under a search and seizure panchanama.

A case has been registered at the Crime Branch Police Station under Section 22(b)(ii)(B) of the NDPS Act, 1985.
Further investigation is being carried out by PI Vikas Deykar under the supervision of senior Crime Branch officers.
