Goa Forward Party (GFP) president Vijai Sardesai has alleged irregularities in the electoral roll during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process, accusing the BJP of benefiting from the alleged manipulation and warning that he will move court if the authorities fail to act.
Sardesai claimed that around 50 voters had been shifted from Curtorim to Fatorda and alleged that 4,500 votes had been deleted in Fatorda. He has sought the removal of names allegedly transferred improperly and raised concerns over the integrity of the electoral process.
Terming the upcoming election “rigged,” Sardesai described the alleged irregularities as “vote chori” and said the GFP would launch a campaign against the issue.
He also urged people to check whether their names remain on the electoral roll to ensure they can exercise their voting rights.
Sardesai has warned that legal action will follow if the authorities fail to address the alleged irregularities.
