Social activist Rama Kankonkar, who began an indefinite strike on August 1, has appealed to political parties, social organisations, and activists across Goa to come together in support of issues concerning the state.
Addressing supporters, Kankonkar described the protest as his "last try and last cry" to unite people for Goa.
"If we fail to achieve at least 67 per cent public support and come together for Goa, I will no longer take up the leadership of any public issue. We are tired of fighting alone," he said.
Kankonkar urged activists to put aside their differences and work collectively for the larger interests of the state.
"Let us keep all our differences aside, come together, and fight for Goa. Let us ensure that all political parties and leaders stand united for the people and the state's interests," he appealed.
The social activist said that unity among citizens, activists, and political leaders is essential to effectively address the issues affecting Goa and safeguard the state's future.
