PWD Minister Digambar Kamat has said potholes reported on Goa’s roads will be filled within 24 hours. He said the department will launch a new app to enable citizens to report potholes and help authorities respond to complaints quickly.
Kamat said the app will facilitate better monitoring of road-related complaints and ensure timely action by the Public Works Department.
The minister also cautioned against the use of AI-generated photographs in news reports merely to sensationalise incidents. He said AI-generated images can create a misleading impression among the public when they do not reflect the actual situation on the ground.
Kamat further said the upcoming Borim Bridge will help address the traffic congestion faced by motorists on the Ponda–Margao highway and provide smoother connectivity for commuters.
