Former Calangute MLA Agnelo Fernandes has accused the office of current MLA Michael Lobo of charging people excessive amounts for obtaining government certificates and permits, allegations that Lobo has strongly denied.
Fernandes alleged that a person operating from Lobo’s office was collecting money from members of the public in excess of the prescribed fees to facilitate government documents and licences.
The former MLA raised questions over the alleged collection of money for services related to government permits and certificates.
However, Michael Lobo has completely rejected the allegations, denying the charges levelled against his office.
